Just had our patio doors replaced by Croston Home Improvements and they have been absolutely *brilliant* from first engagement to concluding the fitting.

I was dreading having to engage with someone as life has been overwhelming for several years with so much stress/pressures. The house needs multiple jobs done but none could start until the patio doors were replaced. I needed to engage with a 'Partner' someone I could trust who would just say 'leave this to us; we've got this ...' and that's EXACTLY what CHI did right from the off.

Meeting Ian from sales was the starting point and he was amazing, talking through the different options. The problem we have is the room is dark where the patio doors are and so replacing with something with wide frames would make it worse. It's also the opening into the garden and what I wanted was to be able to make the room a 'garden room' in the summer months and so had been thinking bifold/trifold doors that would completely open the wall. Ian was brilliant - all the suggestions/options and guidance on available manufacturers. He took our thoughts away and liaised with the internal design folks. Then came back with amazing options. We went with a bifold made locally and then Jason (Surveyor) came to confirm measurements.

Jason was equally brilliant - confirmed measurements and confirmed the option presented would exactly meet our needs. The team then came back with an upgraded option for the same price which has incredible security built in and absolutely no external handles or entry points. Ian presented colour options but with advice on what would likely look best - light colour inside to avoid darkening the room, dark on the outside.

Then Holly did all the Project Management and set everything up for installation. Kyle and Ollie arrived on a day from hell ... I'd had to work all night for a Client presentation and was doing internal pre-briefings the exact day of the installation #nightmare. But Kyle and Ollie just cracked on fed on coffee/biscuits (*but I did suspect Ollie is an AI robot as he didn't drink at all!). What wonderful, lovely guys and who worked so meticulously and to such high standards. The work was done in just half a day. I have *no* idea where the old doors/frames went - they just disappeared with absolutely no mess left at all and nothing damaged in a very tight garden space. They were both incredible.

The experience has been absolutely *amazing* - it's been like family have undertaken the work. Every single person involved worked meticulously and understood exactly what we needed/what would be right and provided a beautiful, high quality product. The installation is wonderful and I can't wait for next summer.

My journey-of-a-thousand-miles continues now with decorating and then flooring. I'll be going back to Croston for the flooring.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with Croston Home Improvements! From start to finish, they were brilliant and made the whole experience so much easier than we could have hoped for. We've only just got round to reviewing now, Croston home improvements did a garage door and a veranda for us in October and we are really pleased with their work! Jay, Graham and Jeff were all professional and friendly, and did an amazing job. Everything was completed to the time frames given by Marie in the office, who kept us updated throughout. We recently had Croston Home Improvements carry out a full house project for us which included garden landscaping and a large rear extension. To say we’re thrilled with the results is an understatement!

From the start, the team handled everything seamlessly - including surveying, fitting and finishing and were always on hand to tackle any unexpected issues that came up. Ben even came round a few times just to check in and make sure we were happy with the progress which was a really thoughtful touch.

The extension is absolutely beautiful. The works involved removing the old conservatory and French doors to create a modern open-plan space. There were some unexpected challenges early on such as a hidden manhole and waterlogged ground, but these were quickly resolved with additional piling added to ensure everything was structurally sound.

Inside, the quality of the finish is spot on. The new windows, doors, skirting and plastering all look fantastic. They also added new radiators, spotlights, dimmer switches and extra sockets - everything was done with such attention to detail.

We are also just as chuffed with the garden makeover. The team lifted the old paths, removed tree stumps, installed land drains and put in a new feather-edged fence. They also laid fresh turf and created a lovely new patio with gorgeous stonework. It’s all come together beautifully.
